Japanese Auctions!

Japanese Auctions, Auctions, Auctions! You may have noticed dozens of Japanese Auction cars and trucks being listed almost daily.

Auction vehicles can be a great way to save money and get a higher quality vehicle but you need to act fast when you see the one you want. Typicaly we will list an auction vehicle in the morning and it will be up for auction later that night.

If you see a vehicle that you want to own, send us an Inquiry and place your $1000 deposit. We won't place a bid without calling you first and won't bid on a vehicle that our agents in Japan can't view in person first.

You may have also noticed that we list many examples of just a few models. When choosing vehicle to feature for you, we look at our Custom Order Requests to see what clients like yourself are in the market for.

What about pricing for other Provinces?

We regularly import vehicles for buyers across Canada and will arrange shipping to have the vehicle landed in the closest major city in your province.

The prices we list are landed in Vancouver, BC costs so we will need to adjust the Provincial Sales Tax and add cross-Canada shipping to your cost. For buyers in other provinces and other countries please place your deposit and then inquire for details.

Bookmark this JDM vehicle

You may have noticed a small addition to each car listing page, "Save to my del.icio.us". You can use this feature to bookmark the specific Japanese imports you're interested in. The great thing about bookmarking with del.icio.us is that you can checkout your personal bookmarks anywhere you have an internet connection. You can also add "tags" which are words that will help you search for that bookmark later on as well as share your bookmarks publicly with friends.

Give it a shot right now by creating an account and bookmarking Terra2 Imports to your del.icio.us.

No new vehicle listings from April 28 to May 4th

Our suppliers will be shut down at the end of April while Japan celebrates "Golden Week", a string of national holidays.

April 29 - Greenery Day (Midori no hi)
May 3 - Constitution Day (Kenpo kinenbi)
May 4 - "Between Day" (Kokumin no kyujitsu)
May 5 - Children's Day (Kodomo no hi)

Because our suppliers will be shut down those days we won't be listing new vehicles but we will still be answering emails and calls from our clients.

"There are 1000 vehicles in our online inventory."

A new milestone has been reached, we just listed our 1,000th Japanese import! This event is a reminder for us that we really need to do some spring cleaning and purge some of the old listings from our DB.

Some good news on the shipping side, we've arranged some alternate options that will allow us to ship vehicles from Japan faster and sooner than ever. In some cases we can arrange delivery of your new vehicle in less than 4 weeks! Please inquire for details.

Expect shipping delays from Japan

On average we anticipate a 6-8 delay for brokered dealer or auction vehicles to arrive in Canada. Recently it's been more and more difficult to find space on the secure vessels we use to ship our clients vehicles.

Unfortunately shipping schedules are about the only thing outside of our control and we are at the mercy of the transport companies when it comes to timelines. We are currently advising clients to expect anywhere from 1 to 3 months for vehicles to arrive. We're looking into alternative shipping solutions and will keep you updated.

Yet another, Japanese vehicle shipment

Please expect customer service delays on calls and emails during February 21st, 22nd, and 23rd as we are receiving and processing a shipment of new Japanese imports. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

JDM import deposit promotion winner announced

Adam Gagnon from Calgary, Alberta is the winner of Terra2's XM Satellite Radio giveaway! He was entered into the drawing simply by placing his deposit last month during our promotion.

Adam has us looking for a mint condition (grade 4) Toyota Hilux Surf or Nissan Terrano R3M (both Turbo Diesels) so his new car audio toy will make a nice addition to his new truck! What's really interesting is that Adam is importing a Japanese turbo diesel truck as a demo vehicle for his Biodiesel conversion business. His business offers a vegetable oil (biodiesel) conversion kit for any vehicle running a diesel engine which sounds like a great compliment to the many diesel vehicles available for import from Japan.

Thank you to everyone who placed their deposit and entered the promotion.
